Running with a Group of Gamers
by admin
I started running with a group of gamers back when I was a junior in college at Mississippi State. In those days, I played a lot of role playing games and had a huge assortment of rpg dice in my personal collection. I ended up graduating with a degree in English with a writing concentration (3.85 gpa). I don’t game as much any more, but I still like to write — especially fantasy and science fiction. One of my stories won first place in a writing competition sponsored by a used bookstore located near the campus. I didn’t win any money, but I did win a gift certificate that allowed me to pick two books for free. I selected a dog eared copy of Pride and Prejudice (for my girlfriend) and a copy of Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Ring (my prior copy was lost during the move from Texas to Mississippi).
